Definitely. In our ten years we have worked with countless people who have never stepped into a gym, and who have no fitness background whatsoever. We have worked with members who have limitations, injuries, and people who just need a push. We’ve worked with deaf people, people with Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s, and elderly. Everyone is invited to the party.
With proper coaching and direction, the most unsafe thing about CrossFit is NOT DOING CROSSFIT. Our coaches are here to get you healthy and ignite your passion for fitness. The staff holds the highest regard for proper program design, attention to detail, and form before anything else. You are our extended family, our tribe, and we take care of our own.
As our coaches start to become acquainted with your abilities, you’ll know you found the spot. We have worked with athletes form all major sports, and some other interesting athletes as well: a pro Handball Player, a pro Arena Football Player, a pro Disc Golfer, and a pro Wrestler, and numerous fighters. We hold our own competitions annually with our last one prior to COVID at over 300 people. In classic Voodoo fashion, it was over the top- Mardi Brawl, our Mardi Gras themed comp that featured a full New Orleans Brass Band, King Cakes shipped in for the winners, and a Crawfish Boil. Voodoo CrossFit is a place where you can come as you are. Our gym is at it's twelve-year mark in Austin, TX this year, and we have spent these years working with countless beginners at every fitness level. We believe consistency is key, and we do everything in our power to translate our passions for fitness and fun onto our members.
